Art Held Hostage

Art Held Hostage (AHH) specializes in making writer/director controlled movies.

There is no better representation of this than the first feature film by Art Held Hostage:ZOMBTHOLOGY.

This anthology film features 3 short zombie tales – each from a different director, who retained total control over the content and execution of their portion of the movie. Directors include Elias Dancey, Chris Kiros and Robert Elkins.

Art Held Hostage, in a joint venture with WNWR Films also produced “Deadlands 2: TRAPPED,” directed by Gary Ugarek (Deadlands: The Rising). Art Held Hostage worked hard to realize Gary’s vision.

Also on the roster is the slasher series: BACKWOODS by Robert Elkins. BACKWOODS and BACKWOODS 2: THE REVENGE OF CALEB are perfect examples of pure director passion. The raw, if not rough-around-the-edges, talent is obvious in these two bloody entries in a classic slasher films in the tradition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, and Halloween with a touch of early Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi) mixed in. Art Held Hostage is currently remastering these low budget gems for release on DVD and digital download soon!
