‘The New Plague’
ZOMBTHOLOGY Presents “The New Plague”
Art Held Hostage first came up with the idea for ZOMBTHOLOGY as a single film, made up like an anthology film, of zombie shorts. When the shorts grew in number and the potential expanded, two films spun off the project and came unto their own.
The New Plague was made entirely in Norway by filmmaker Aleksander U. Sergistad.
This foreign language entry in the ZOMBTHOLOGY catalog is a haunting tale expertly written, directed and edited by Aleksander. On a traintrip to his mother’s funeral, Bjørn ends up on the wrong train station located up in the desolate mountains of Norway. Soon he has to deal with death on another level as he’s faced with a gang of flesheating zombies.
The New Plague showed at the Fright Night Film Festival where is saw a sizable crowd and a great screening. It is now re-entering the festival circuit with the finished release of ZOMBTHOLOGY.
Aleksander has made several impressive films and also worked as a composer with Robert Elkins on Zombthology (Curse of Zombie Lake) as well as Art Held Hostage’s Backwoods 2.
